Mary is a counselor, teacher, a 3-dimensional artist and meditator. Coming from a compassionate, non- judgmental intention, Mary is committed to supporting her clients’ growth towards more self awareness, more emotional balance, and more ability to resolve their own internal conflicts. She is humanistic and eclectic in her approach to counseling using a variety of therapeutic modalities. These include teaching needed skill sets, traditional psychotherapy, creative processes, stress/anxiety/anger management, emotion-focused therapy, mentoring, and EMDR therapy. She serves families, couples, individuals and adolescents. Mary specialized work is with: adults and adolescents with trauma/childhood trauma; couples; professional and family caregivers experiencing burn out; therapy groups (anxiety, anger, meditation, self discovery).

She has a Bachelors degree in Creative Arts/Psychology from Rutgers University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia. She has completed Level II training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for application in anxiety and trauma work, a one year training program in Child Maltreatment from the New Jersey Child Abuse Training Institute, UMDNJ, and Level I training in Expressive Arts Therapy. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and has over 30 Continuing Education Credits in trauma research and treatment. She has taught meditation for 17 years and for the past 8 years Mary has been teaching a variety of self-discovery workshops/classes at local adult education programs.
